Enterprise Information Protection Leader Verdasys Appoints Dennis Allan to Senior Vice President Global Sales |

WALTHAM, Mass.-- March 16, 2010 -- Verdasys, the leading provider of Enterprise Information
Protection (EIP) for the Global 2000, today announced the appointment of Dennis Allan as
Senior Vice President of Global Sales.
With more than 25 years of senior management experience in sales, marketing and operations
in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Allan will lead the Verdasys worldwide sales
organization, building on the company’s strong 2009 sales into Global 2000 companies across a
wide range of industries, including Hi-tech, government, financial services, insurance,
healthcare and manufacturing. He reports to Verdasys CEO Seth Birnbaum.
“Dennis brings to Verdasys a broad experience in sales and operations management, running
organizations with revenue responsibility in the hundreds of millions, operating on a global

Allan joins Verdasys from leading infrastructure software provider Progress Software
Corporation (NASDAQ: PRGS), where he was Regional Vice President, EMEA. He previously
served as the CEO of Univirtua and as vice president and general manager of EMEA operations
for Information Builders. He also held senior management positions with S2 Systems, a
subsidiary of Stratus Computers, Wang Labs, Computer Horizons, ataware and Onyx Software.
